Editor's Note

          The workplace magazine is a workering-centric publication that discuses issues affecting  nigerian workers irrespective of their class  formal \informal government\private sectors. It is aimed at raising national discourse on work, workers and the environment where they operate as well as align workers thought on issues off national development and nation building

         Across the globe the workforce is the engine room of national development. No nation can achieve meaningful growth and development without productive and efficient workforce. The economic indices for measuring nations growth are commonly compared using the ratio of the gross domestic product {GDP} to population or per-capita income. The workforce make it happen.

         In this maiden edition, the cover story titled workers renumerations: beyond minimum wage examines the concept of wage/minimum wage and pest such as bad roads, unity charges excess bank charge lack of social amenities which are inadvertedly  syphoning the meagre take home of nigerian workers .we are of view that the government,organized labour and other stakeholders should force on the aforementioned pests in order to enhance the walfare of workers.

        The nigerian workforce strategy and enlightenment center {NIWOSEC} lead strategist, Dr David Kayode Ehindero in an exclusive interview explain the vision and mission of the centre for the workers class and nation building. He  note that NIWOSEC is not another organized labour group but a neo-labour centre with the purpose of traning developing strategies and programmes to help workers contribute to nation building.
